Diametral at NextLink Mexico: Practical discussions on Data & AI challenges

On September 9, 2026, Matthieu Ribaucourt and Juan Diego Uribe Manrique represented Diametral at NextLink, an event organized by La French Tech Mexico that brought together technology decision-makers to discuss challenges related to data and artificial intelligence.

A format that prioritizes conversation over presentation

Four tables brought together Chief Data Officers (CDOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs), and Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), with fifteen minutes of discussion at each.

Fifteen minutes is enough time to introduce your business, but rarely enough to understand the needs and difficulties an organization is actually facing.

Matthieu and Juan Diego therefore chose to set aside sales pitches to focus on what matters most: listening to the participants, understanding their challenges, and discussing their concrete issues.

Each participant was invited to note a data or AI skill they wanted to develop, or a problem they were looking to solve within their organization.

Based on these contributions, our representatives selected several topics and shared real-world use cases illustrating how Diametral had supported other clients facing similar challenges.

Different sectors, common questions

Despite the diversity of the companies and sectors represented, the conversations quickly highlighted four recurring questions:

  • Is the problem critical enough to justify an investment?
  • Is the available data reliable enough to take action?
  • Who will take responsibility for the solution once the prototype is finished?
  • And above all, what will actually change for the company if the project succeeds?

These questions are essential for distinguishing a simple experiment from an initiative that is truly worth developing.

They allow us to move beyond the hype surrounding new technologies to focus on their relevance, feasibility, and real-world impact.

Beyond AI: Human and organizational challenges

At every table, the most rewarding conversations quickly moved beyond purely technological considerations.

The discussions shifted toward equally decisive topics: employees, company culture, and how decisions are actually made within organizations.

Because identifying the opportunities offered by data and artificial intelligence is often the easiest part.

The real challenge lies in transforming these opportunities into solutions that can operate at scale within the operational reality of a business.

This is usually where projects hit their biggest hurdles: moving from idea to execution, integrating solutions into existing processes, and creating the conditions necessary for adoption.

And it is precisely these challenges that our teams love to tackle alongside their clients.

Thanks to La French Tech Mexico!

This edition of NextLink reminded us how much direct conversation and active listening can spark meaningful discussions, even in a limited amount of time.

A big thank you to La French Tech Mexico for organizing this event and for a format that prioritizes conversation over presentation.

Thanks also to everyone who joined us at our tables to share their experiences, questions, and ambitions.

¡Hasta pronto, México!
