About the role
Today's architecture choices decide what AI will be able to do tomorrow. At Diametral, the Data Architect designs the data and AI architectures of large groups: platforms able to serve analytics, machine learning and generative AI at scale, without letting costs or complexity spiral.
You join the Architecture & Engineering engine and work on structuring decisions, alongside CIOs, CDOs and data leadership.
What you will build
- Target data and AI architectures: lakehouse, data mesh, hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, GenAI foundations.
- Modernization roadmaps: exit from legacy platforms, SAP and ERP migration to the cloud, tool rationalization.
- Formal, well-argued architecture assessments, with cost, performance, security and sovereignty trade-offs.
- The standards and reference architectures that guide delivery teams.
- Governance built into architecture: catalog, security, data contracts, FinOps.
- Architecture documents that convince decision committees.
Your tech stack
Azure, GCP, AWS; Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, BigQuery; Kafka; catalog and governance tools; C4, TOGAF or ATAM methods; RAG and agent architectures.
