About the role
Companies no longer want generative AI demos. They want systems that run. At Diametral, the LLM / GenAI Engineer designs and industrializes applications built on LLMs and agents, embedded in our clients' critical processes, secured, evaluated and cost-controlled.
It is the role that has grown the most in our client demand in recent months. You join the Applied AI & Data Science engine, at the heart of our Design, Build, Scale, Run method.
What you will build
- Business assistants and agents: RAG on document bases, tool-using and multi-agent systems, end-to-end process automation.
- Robust GenAI architectures: chunking, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, tool orchestration, MCP protocol.
- Evaluation and quality frameworks: test sets, LLM-as-a-judge, hallucination detection, production monitoring.
- Security and compliance: guardrails, sensitive data handling, prompt injection, AI Act requirements.
- Cost and performance control: model selection, routing, caching, token FinOps.
- The APIs and services that bring AI into everyday tools (FastAPI, containers, cloud).
Your tech stack
Python, commercial and open-source LLMs, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock or Vertex AI, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, vector databases (pgvector, Azure AI Search, Qdrant), FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, LLM evaluation and observability tools.
Within Diametral
- You build reusable GenAI accelerators with the community, from one client to the next.
- You are one of the people who keep the whole team up to date in a field that changes every week.
What we are looking for

- At least one GenAI application taken all the way to users.
- Fluent English in a client context, plus the language of your home office.
What will make the difference
- Experience with agents in production and their evaluation.
- Sensitivity to AI system security.
- Open-source contributions, articles or talks.

- A strong sense of service and client experience.
